Cambustion at AFS Filtcon 2025, Louisville
We very much enjoyed exhibiting and presenting at the Galt House in Louisville last week for the American Filtration & Separation (AFS Society) Filtcon 2025!
At Filtcon we presented the latest information on our applications for filtration studies, featuring:
The new 5210 CPC for fast response detection of particles from 5 nm to 10 microns
The new AD60 Aerosol Diluter for continuously variable aerosol dilution over two orders of magnitude
The Aerodynamic Aerosol Classifier (AAC) to select particle size with high transmission efficiency and truly monodisperse output
Together, these 3 instruments form the main components of a benchtop setup to resolve filtration efficiency curves (and determine the most penetrating particle size) of air filter media and face mask samples.
Performing these measurements using test particles classified by aerodynamic diameter - rather than by electrical mobility diameter - offers significantly higher transmission efficiency, and eliminates the need to condition the aerosol charge state for classification and correct for multiple charging errors in filtration measurements.
