Emissions from a desktop 3D printer
Ambient air monitoring during 3D printing
We used the Fast Aerosol Sizer (DMS500 Mk2) to monitor ambient air quality when 3D printing in a poorly ventilated room. The filament material and extruder temperature both had an impact on the amount of particles generated. The video records the emissions when printing ABS and shows a large and persistent increase in particle number compared to ambient levels.
