Metrology & calibration
The calibration of instruments measuring suspended particle matter presents some difficult challenges. Unlike gas measurements, where traceable mixtures of calibration gases can be purchased, calibration of particle measurement instruments requires the generation of an aerosol in real-time, and its simultaneous measurement with the instrument to be calibrated, and a reference system.
Over the years Cambustion has developed multiple instruments, which can be used to overcome these obstacles. All our products can be easily integrated into any calibration system with the use of our extensive free to use command set protocol over ethernet or serial. Fast response nature of many of our products allows for a reduction of calibration time, while maintaining industry level accuracy and precision. Most importantly our experts provide best in class advice and support helping you focus on what matters most!
Some of Cambustion's products that are most relevant to metrology & calibration include:
CPMA Electrometer Reference Mass Standard (CERMS) allowing a wide variety of mass concentration measuring aerosol instruments to be traceably calibrated
Aerodynamic Aerosol Classifier an ideal source of calibration particles for optical counting instruments enabling classification up to several microns in size
5210 Fast Condensation Particle Counter with an outstandingly wide size range from 5nm to 10 microns
AD60 Aerosol Diluter which with its variable dilution ratio enables the use of a single particle generator for a wide range of concentration
Aerosol Diffusion Drier ensuring dry aerosols while minimising particle losses
