IT Technician
Permanent, full time (35 hours / week), based in Cambridge U.K.
This position will be primarily supporting the day-to-day computer usage of Cambustion’s users. As part of the administration group there will also be a need to evaluate future hardware and software approaches in line with the growing needs of the Company. Suitable training will be provided where appropriate.
The technical environment:
The desktop computing environment consists of computers running Microsoft Window with Microsoft Office
Support includes, but is not limited to, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, upgrades and installation of desktop hardware and software
Key personal and technical knowledge:
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems and Microsoft Office products
Deal with end-user issues in a timely manner
Handle multiple tasks
An understanding of computer hardware and computer networking
Self-motivated
Responsibilities:
Primary support for users' computers
Being proactive and identifying areas for improvement
Assisting in research and development
Flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends when appropriate
Experience:
Some Windows desktop support would be desirable
Good verbal and written communication skills
